PINK!

Blush, coral, fuchsia, rose and salmon.  These are all words used to describe hues that surround the color Pink!

While Pink has always been associated with baby girls, it has certainly evolved.  The color Pink has even made it's way into fashion, draped on the backs of the most highly styled men!

The result of a diluted affair between red and white, Pink has it's roots in many positive and not so positive origins.  I will choose to highlight the positive and it's symbol for women's empowerment and achievement.  This has also been strongly intertwined into Breast Cancer Awareness.  Women are not the only gender to suffer from the disease, men too, are affected at the rate of 1 in 1,000 over a lifetime.  This is according to the American Cancer Society.

Almost everyone has been affect by Breast Cancer in some way, be it a family member or friend.  Let's keep this awareness going, not only during the month of October, but also throughout the year.  Tweet, Facebook and Blog about it!  Get folks aware of what we can do to volunteer or donate to help researches find effective treatments and eventually a cure!  Here are some great places to start:

Stay Lovely!
