YÉLE HAITI

Anyone who has followed Wyclef Jean knows that he is a HUGE supporter of Haiti.  Not only because this is his heritage, but because he knows the dire state this country has been in for the past generations. He and his wife have a commitment to Haiti that is so special, that it is almost beyond words.  This is not just because of the recent earthquake disaster, but all year-round, 365 days a year!  Even my extended family has been affected and among the missing.  One family member was found and OK, but we are still waiting to hear from two others and it has been grueling to just sit and wait.  Relief efforts are at an all-time high and supplies are arriving steadily, the roads just need to be cleared enough to get supplies through.  I don't know the future for Haiti, but this tragedy should show us all how precious life is and for us not to waste time on needless physical things.  Happiness is not continuously chasing what you want, but the realization of what you already have.  The people of Haiti know this all too well.  They are digging with their bare hands to rescue victims and that is the main concern.  It is as if they have an undying strength that stretches leaps and bounds, with no end in sight.  I pray God be with them in this time of need.  Feel free to give to any reputable organization you chose, but just GIVE!  Wyclef's organization is a GREAT place to start:  Yéle Haiti
