Aniesia Williams has become one of the fastest rising talents in the R&B genre. With a voice that soothes the soul, Ms. Williams has won over the hearts of many listeners who have heard her music or watched her perform live onstage. A native of music-rich North Carolina, Aniesia’s story began in her school’s gospel choir. Throughout her years singing in various ensembles, Aniesia trained both her voice and ear to enable her to bellow out some of the most well-known gospel songs in music. As her faith lead to her sing in church, the response from the congregation led Aniesia to believe she had been given a blessing. Now, she is determined to share that gift with the world.
Ms. Williams, emigrated to the Washington, D.C. Metro area, the next locale to witness the Aniesia Williams experience. A natural southern belle, Aniesia’s charm brought something different to the music scene and she began to blossom. Not only has Aniesia begun to perform live in local venues, and get local radio stations from her hometown to play her music, but she has also appeared in national publications such as Rolling Out Magazine. Aniesia recently won the Black Enterprise/American Express Idol competition (2009), which won her a seat at the Annual Black Enterprise Conference, which took place in San Diego, CA. Ms. Williams is also the CEO of a government contracting company, which provides services to the Information Technology, Construction, Security and Facilities Management circuits.
