This is a simple mantra of life that most of us are taught, but often forget. When you treat someone like
they are beneath you, it speaks to your character or the lack thereof. It amazes me how folks insist on believing their sense of entitlement and pompous attitude will continue to win them success. One thing I have learned is that God gives blessings, but so does the Devil! Things are not what they always seem and on the climb to the top, you must remember who and what helped you get there.
Now, I don't agree with everything that the Obama Administration has done, but I know they get ME! Obama and his team know what it is like to be the average citizen and they don't take the little guy for granted. It's the folks in the trenches that help you to where you are going and they deserve the recognition and respect like the CEO at the head of a business. Never forget where you came from and the steps that it took you to get there, because you may need to re-trace those very steps one day!
The main points that I took away from the DNC are that these folks are just like us, the common Joes of the world. They don't have a sense that anyone owes them anything. They just want to be voted back into office through voter support, not with the use of smoke and mirrors. They are not afraid to roll up their C-level sleeves and get their hands dirty! They realize that nothing will get done unless all parties work together and that means not excluding another. These are admirable character traits that you are not born with, and you must be taught. The trick of it all, is that you have to WANT to LEARN!
Stay Lovely!
