I don't know how many times I am going to say it, but I will say it again! Mental illness is REAL! Just because you cannot readily see it on a person like a broken arm, does not mean that it does not exist.

Yes, there is a serious need to address handgun issues as well, but this country has horribly failed in support for folks dealing with mental illness on all levels. These mass killings by these individuals all seem to lead back to mental illness that went untreated, or in some cases, ignored. Between the mental illness issue and lax handgun laws...I don't know what to say anymore. You won't always see the signs every time, but the majority of these folks had red flags, long before these atrocities took place.

Now, here we are again with 20 dead children along with several adults and AGAIN with no answers. Very sad situation and unfortunately, it is NOT isolated!
