OnyxQueen's Blog!: I'm Engaged!

Okay, maybe not engaged for marriage...since I am already taken by my sweetie! I mean that I am engaged in the Event Planning Business! Lovlies, I just got back from the most wonderful afternoon with the Great Preston Bailey (Event Designer) and Sylvia Weinstock (Cake Designer)! They were guest speakers for Engaged! Magazine's Bridal Event at the Willard Hotel in Washington, DC. It was a wonderful turnout and the featured vendors were awesome! Preston did a book signing and Sylvia worked the crowd, taking pictures and chatting with her many fans. I also made some friends during the day...a wonderful and talented group of young people that I will be keeping in touch with! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You...It was meant for all of us to meet... :) It was absolutely amazing to be in the company of so many great vendors and engaged ladies looking to two of the masters for inspiration! Sylvia may be tiny in stature, but she has a big heart and big ideas. She mentioned how she and her staff WELCOME a challenge! She also spoke of her early days in the business and how much she has enjoyed watching the business evolve. She is truly an inspiring woman to meet and chat with!
